Howard Griffith spent 11 seasons in the NFL never as the star — but as the fullback who made stars unstoppable. As the lead blocker for Hall of Famers Terrell Davis and Jerome Bettis, he won Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII. His job was to multiply what others could do.
He brought that same philosophy to 19 years as Emmy Award-winning lead studio analyst at the Big Ten Network — and now to The Championship Standard, his platform for business leadership.
Howard set the NCAA single-game touchdown record (8 TDs, 1990), was inducted into the University of Illinois Sports Hall of Fame, and is the author of Laying It on the Line: Notes of a Team Player.
